Job Summary

Qualified candidates must have the following skills:

Must be qualified by training and experience to do all welding and pipefitting tasks.

Must pass all required tests and maintain qualification at all times.

Reports to C&M supervisor and assists with fabrication, installation and maintenance of pipeline systems and faciltities.

Performs other metal fabrication and repair as required.

Areas of coverage may include all of PNG or other operating areas as required or in an emergency.

Assist as part of a construcction and maintenance crew and emergency response and call-outs as required.

Knowledge & Skills

  • 2-5 years of relevant gas utility experience.
  • General knowledge and ability to perform basic construction and utility tasks such as equipment operation, pipefitting, etc.
  • Current motor vehicle Operators License and CDL medical card.
  • Will be required to obtain CDL license and CDL medical card.
  • Will be required to obtain CDL license within six months of hire date.
  • Demonstrate mechanical aptitude.
  • On-call.

Working Conditions


  • Post High School / Vo-Tech level in the pipeline welding curriculum or related experience.
